Statement of Faith

Our Orthodoxy – right thinking

1. We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, the only, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2. We believe that there is only one God who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return to the power of glory.

4. We believe that in the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

6. We believe in the resurrection of the both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of punishment.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in Christ.

Our Orthopraxy – right acting

2. We believe that right thinking (orthodoxy) is meaningless without right acting (orthopraxy).

3. We believe that discipleship must include the practical element of obedience to Jesus’ teachings:

  • To love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength
  • To love your neighbor as yourself.

4. We believe that Jesus’ disciples are to be actively going out into the world of those He is seeking to be His witnesses through testimony and through acts of love.

5. We believe that Jesus’ disciples should be constantly aspiring to grow in His characteristics of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

6. We believe that the credibility of our faith to a troubled and unbelieving world is authenticated and evidenced by our right acting in accordance with our right thinking.

7. We believe that all of our relationships, with believers and unbelievers alike, are to be experienced through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Meet the Kids

The presence of the FID Childrens Home, and the process of the discipleship of the children who reside there, lends to an overall system of social development within the community in which it serves.
