Mentorship Program

Faith In Deeds Children's Home provides 24/7 care in everything a child needs to thrive emotionally and physcially: a secure home, nutritious food, medical care, education, nurture, friendship, and fun. We also provide for their spiritual needs through prayer, devotions, and mentoring. The children are taught a Christ-centered world view in which they are valued and loved. As each child grows, they are also encouraged to reach beyond themselves through outreach programs in the community, bringing Biblical lessons to life. Lives are transformed by this faithful witness of God's grace both inside the children's home, and in the community surrounding it.

To be a part of the Mentorship Program, we do ask the following commitments from you:

Financial commitment | Sponsors are asked to support the general operating fund of the Children’s Home with a suggested minimum monthly gift of $35 per group. Some sponsors feel led to give more or choose more than one group.

Prayer commitment | Sponsors are asked to pray regularly for the members of the peer group that they are building a relationship with. Specific prayer requests for the various groups will be shared from time to time via the FID newsletters from the field.

Mentoring commitment | Mentors are encouraged to engage their group at least twice a year by sending them a letter, talking with them online via Skype or FaceTime, or responding to a specific request for the group from the FID staff in the field. For those who would like to support the ministry on a monthly basis, but not participate in the mentorship program, we also offer the opportunity to become a Faith In Deeds Member.

Meet the Kids

The presence of the FID Childrens Home, and the process of the discipleship of the children who reside there, lends to an overall system of social development within the community in which it serves.
